Since I’m way too busy during the holidays to write an actual post, here is a video that pokes fun at how busy and distracted we are during the holidays.  Oh, the irony.

We showed this as part of our Advent Conspiracy sermon series, which challenges what Christmas has become in USAmerican culture.  Thanks to Tanya for acting, Jackie for script-writing, and Kenneth for manning the microphone boom!

Aaron from Church Solutions Group recently stopped by with a Yamaha LS9-16 digital mixer for us to demo. Below are some videos from the great tutorial he did for us. We’ll be getting the LS9-32, which has 32 channels instead of 16, but the general idea is the same. I’ll keep adding parts as I edit them.

One of the sermons in our “the world is Mine” stewardship series was on stewardship of authority. God has given everyone authority to various degrees, and you probably have more than you think.  How do you use it wisely in the Kingdom?

This video, entitled “The Art of Delegation”, was used as a funny intro to the main part of the sermon.  Thanks to Brian, Tyler, Katie, Casey, and Milly for acting and Amy for handling the microphone boom and not washing her dishes.  For anyone who is interested, the soundtrack was composed using Reason for drums & loopy FX, a Godin Solidac & Boss GT-8 for guitar and effects, and Audacity for multitracking.
